Vanitha Film Awards are presented by Malayalam Manorama group's magazine Vanitha annually. Since 1998, the award ceremony was held and broadcast annually, and it is now one of the most-popular Film Awards ceremonies in the Malayalam Film Industry. The awards are presented to honour both artistic and technical excellence in the Malayalam Film Industry.

For years, Surya TV was the broadcasting partner for the Vanita Film Awards. From 2012 onwards, their sister channel Mazhavil Manorama starts airing the annual film award ceremony. Since 2016, Cera is the Title sponsor of the show.
