Kailasanathan is the Malayalam dubbed version of Hindi mythological serial Devon Ke Dev... Mahadev. The show tells the mesmerizing story of Lord Shiva and his avatars. Nikhil Sinha, Ismail Umarr Khan, Manish Singh, Govind Agrawal, and Satish Bhargav are the directors of the show.

The original version of the show premiered on 18 December 2011 and was aired on Life OK. With more than 800 Episodes, this show was one of the most successful mythological dramas in the history of Indian Television. Asianet aired the Malayalam version.

The show was dubbed into many Indian languages as well as foreign languages. Various dubbed Indian versions include Star Jalsha's Devadidev Mahadev (Bengali), Star Suvarna's Om Namah Shivay(Kannada), Star Pravah's Devanche Dev Mahadev (Marathi)
Tarang TV's Mahadev (Oriya), Star Vijay's Shivam (Tamil), and Star Maa's Hara Hara Mahadeva (Telugu). 

In the Indonesian language, it was dubbed as Mahadewa and aired on antv and in Thai as Shiva Phra Mahadev on Bright TV.

Mohit Raina played the titular role of Lord Shiva in this show. Saurabh Raaj Jain, Piyush Sahdev, Mouni Roy, Sonarika Bhadoria, Puja Banerjee, Suhasi Goradia Dhami, Kumar Hedge, and others were also part of the cast.
